Accreditation

COA Accreditation Validates Your Organization's Commitment to Excellence.

Credibility

Since 1977 COA has focused on a single goal: to help organizations become stronger. Stronger in terms of the organization's services provided and stronger in terms of governance and organizational structure.

Currently, the leaders of more than 1,400 private and public organizations throughout North America have sought COA accreditation. Each enjoys the benefits of public recognition and peer credibility, organizational and operational integrity, and the structure and process for the achievement of strategic goals, all of which result from COA accreditation.

Integrity

By fostering compliance with governance, management and service standards, COA accreditation addresses every aspect of organizational integrity. Recognized as one of the worlds leading advocates for quality services for children and families, COA accreditation instills confidence in donors, board, staff and clients that the organization is committed to the highest standards of fiduciary duty.

"When an organization such as Youth Town takes the inititative to seek accreditation from a third party it demonstrates a willingness to take a close look at itself and says th its donors, the community, and the kids themselves that when it comes to these vulnerable kids, good enough is not good enough," said COA President Richard Klarberg."  - Charisma Magazine March 2006

Achievement

Unique in the collaborative and constructive nature of process, COA accreditation doesn't only involve the review of a specific program or service. Instead, it transforms the entire organization while focusing on such mission-critical areas as: Governance, Continuous Quality improvement, Fiscal Management, Human Resource Management and Service Delivery and Planning. As a result, COA is much more than a prestigious seal of approval. It is a powerful force that can help achieve organizational growth and strategic mission.
