1962

YouthTown was charted by the state of Tennessee.
1970

Faith Cottage was completed. The cottage was built on faith that someday Youth Town would be able to repay Watlington Bro Construction. The cottage was paid for in 1971
1986


Youth Town's chapel was built in 1986.
1997

Ground was broken for new administration building and two level 2 dorms.
2000


Youth Town teamed up with Juvinile Judge of West Tennessee to host Youth Challange program for non-custodial kids.
1967

Jackson Rotary Club adopted YouthTown and built the first cottage.
Rotary is still actively involved in YouthTown today.
1972



The Youth Town gym was built in 1972. The gym was sponsored by Rotary District 676. Our 18 acre lake was built by 913th co of the 194th engineering brigade that same here.
1991

Freed-Hardeman and Union University mentoring programs begin at
Youth Town.
1998
Youth Town entered into a collaborative partnership with Pathways to develop continuum of care from level one to level two serving ages 12 - 18.
2003

George Thomas Jr. Academy was established in memory of George Thomas Jr. Union University nursing program also begins.
